Astell House is a striking home full of character and interest. Every room has ensuite facilities and residents are welcome to add their own furnishings and personal belongings, allowing them to create a truly personalised sanctuary. As an intimate community providing high-quality residential care for just 36 residents, we ensure a truly personalised and peaceful experience. We blend this comfortable atmosphere with exceptional support; distinctively, our experienced team includes qualified nurses, providing an added layer of clinical expertise that ensures continuous safety and peace of mind for every resident.
Rooms with more than just a view
The refurbished lounge, quiet room and dining room are all beautifully proportioned with high ceilings and large windows filling the rooms with light. The architect designed modern conservatory gives a fantastic striking space. Residents enjoy using it when entertaining visitors, for a wide range of activities and for its seamless link to the garden.
Our accessible landscaped gardens offer plenty of places to sit quietly or socialise with family and friends with the beautiful architecture of Astell as its backdrop. The raised beds offer accessible gardening opportunities for green fingered residents.
The home is fully accessible. In addition to the ensuite facilities we have specialised bathrooms.Our housekeeping and maintenance teams take great pride in keeping the home clean, fresh, safe, and looking at its best.
Dining at The Astell
Our chefs at Astell House Care Home in Cheltenham prepare fresh nutritious and well balanced menus each day, offering a wide range of options at every meal. Sherry hour is enjoyed before lunch each day, when residents and staff gather together to socialise.
An afternoon tea is held in the dining room every day with a selection of home-made cakes. We hold special seasonal days throughout the year, theming our food around all the major festivals, as well as sporting and royal events. We welcome guests to join residents for a meal and we enjoy hosting family parties for any occasion.
We cater for many different dietary requirements in our home, and our chefs have experience using specialist techniques to prepare food that is easier to manage for people with swallowing difficulties or motor-skill challenges. It is important to us that all the residents at Astell House can dine with the comfort and dignity they deserve.
